Terms of Service
Last updated 25 July 2026. Plain-language summary; a school's signed order form or MSA prevails where it differs.
1. Agreement
These terms govern use of the Shaswat SchoolOs platform and website. By creating an account or using the service, the school ("Customer") agrees to them. If you are accepting on behalf of a school, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. The service
We provide a multi-tenant school management platform. Features available to a Customer depend on their subscribed plan. We may improve, add, or change features; we will not materially reduce a paid feature during a paid term without notice.
3. Accounts & access
- The Customer is responsible for the accuracy of the data it enters and for the actions of its user accounts.
- Access is role-based; the Customer controls who in its school has access to what.
- You must keep credentials secure and notify us of any suspected unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — no attempts to breach security or tenant isolation, no unlawful content, no reverse-engineering, and no use that disrupts the platform for other schools.
5. Fees & payment
Fees are per the plan you subscribe to (see Pricing), billed annually or monthly, exclusive of GST. A 30-day free trial is available. Non-payment may lead to suspension after a grace period.
6. Data protection
The Customer is the Data Fiduciary and Shaswat SchoolOs is the Data Processor. How we handle data — including children's data under the DPDP Act — is set out in our Data & Privacy page and Privacy Policy, which form part of these terms.
7. Availability
We aim for high availability and publish live health at System Status. A contractual uptime SLA applies only where explicitly stated in an Enterprise order form. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where practical.
8. Intellectual property
The platform, software and its content remain our intellectual property. The Customer's data remains the Customer's; we process it only on the Customer's instructions and return or delete it on termination per the agreed retention policy.
9. Termination
Either party may end the subscription at the end of a term. On termination, the Customer may export its data; we retain records only for the statutory period thereafter.
10. Liability & law
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the preceding 12 months. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts of the applicable jurisdiction having exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes & contact
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified. Questions: contact us or email hello@shaswatschoolos.in.
